Art Fair

It's that time again... October is Art Awareness Month in Wilmette and my church, St. Francis Xavier Parish, is having it's annual Art Fair on Sunday, October 24. In the Door County series in the photo gallery on this site, I have an image of Tommy sleeping which I might submit, and I got the first roll of Holga pictures back last week and I think it would be just fabulous if I had a wet lab black and white printing day with Holga negatives so I could show old-fashioned, darkroom chemistry prints at the art fair. I have a few rolls from the Holga from March, and I never processed them so I finally broke down and brought them somewhere to be processed, but in the interest of not plunking down a whole lot of money all at once I'm getting one roll processed a week. So that's why I only have one set of negatives back as of now. But just because I don't like developing film doesn't mean I don't like printing in a wet lab! It is time consuming, though, and my digital prints from the Holga negatives look really good. However, I'm sure that in between now and when I'd have to get the prints framed I could find a day to spend in the darkroom.
